Coding

A programming language is a language for describing instructions that a computer can follow to solve a problem.
The Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies (AC:DT) mandates that all students learn to write programs from Years 3-4 through to Years 7-8, with an elective subject for Years 9-10.
Visual programming involves dragging and dropping instruction blocks together to form a program in a graphical development environment. Scratch, Lego and Alice are good examples.
